It is very simply:

Save this code in your desktop ( oc.reg )

 Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00  
 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Communicator]  
 "EnableAppearOffline"=dword:00000001

Now you can run the file oc.reg.

after close and re-start the office communicator and you will see the new voice: "Appear Offline"
